Applicable material: Metal
Induction hardening machine for ZF shafts or components with similar dimensions
Feeding:
The machine is operated from the front, and the workpieces are placed in holders on the turntable for machining. The rotary indexing table feeds the workpiece into the machine for machining. The machined parts are removed at the same station.
The light display located directly above the operator is used to sort the workpiece as an OK or non-OK part.
Hardening 1:
Once the rotary indexing table is positioned, the recirculating ball indexing table lowers the mixer into position. A weighted top counterweight rests on the part, preventing it from lifting. The part is controlled by a magnetic coupling below
of the rotary indexing table. A sensor checks the correct rotation. An inductor heats the part to the set hardening temperature.
The recirculating ball indexing table lifts the hardened part into position. Once the part is hardened, the recirculating ball rail table moves to the up position.
Tempering:
Once the rotary indexing table is positioned, the recirculating ball rail table lowers the mixer into position. One
Weighted top counterweight rests on the part and prevents it from lifting. The part is replaced by
a magnetic coupling under the rotary indexing table. A sensor checks the correct rotation.
An inductor heats the part to the set temperature. The ball screw table is inserted into the
upper position.
Hardening 2:
Once the rotary indexing table is positioned, a pneumatic actuator (4) lowers the hardener (5) onto the part. First
the part is cooled to room temperature with a coolant. It is then dried with compressed air.
The actuator then lifts the silencer, and valves allow for a temporary shut-off of coolant (1) and air (2). The flow rate can be adjusted with the help of valves (3).
