The John Deere X950R is equipped with a powerful 3-cylinder Yanmar diesel engine of approximately 24–25 hp (1116 cm³), liquid-cooled for constant and reliable operation. <br>
The machine uses a hydrostatic transmission with stepless forward and reverse control, complemented by an electronically shifted PTO and an automatic differential lock for maximum traction. <br>
The robust steel cutting deck is available in cutting widths of 122 or 137 cm, with adjustable cutting heights from approximately 25 to 133 mm. <br>
